  • Marleen Özgür is a (script)writer and filmmaker based in the Netherlands. With a background in Psychology, Fine Arts and Film, her language is often both visual and poetic, telling human narratives of characters who reside in their quirky and alienated realms of desires, obsessions and illusions. Seeking for a balance in which a dramatic story is universal as well as ambiguous, she attempts to create worlds in which dreams and reality blend, blurring the boundary between fiction and documentary.

Her work includes screenplays, short stories, concept development and copywriting.
